Volunteer Coordinator

Hello, my name is Hadley Williams, and I am the NCA-Denver Volunteer Coordinator. Born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin, I attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison before transferring to the University of Denver in the fall of 2023. I was immediately drawn to mountains and the energy of Denver and knew I needed to transfer. I’m currently majoring in accounting with a minor in entrepreneurship. In my free time, I love to stay active—whether that’s skiing with friends, hiking, thrifting, camping, or reading. Most of all, I love spending time with my dog, Rubi.
I was diagnosed with celiac disease in 2009 at just five years old, after breaking both of my legs due to osteopenia caused by undiagnosed celiac. My health journey has been long and challenging, but with the support of a great doctor, I was able to navigate and manage my condition more effectively. As the only person with celiac in my entire family—including my extended family—my parents and I had no idea where to start. One of the most impactful experiences for me was attending Camp Rock, a camp for kids with celiac, where I met my lifelong best friends. Even though we’ve all grown up, we still talk daily and see each other multiple times a year.
Having had celiac my whole life, I’ve learned how to manage it in every situation—family holidays, school, vacations, theme parks, and now, college life. I joined the National Celiac Association because I wanted to connect with a community that truly understands the challenges we face and to be a resource for families going through similar experiences. If you have questions—especially about helping little kids navigate celiac or adjusting to college with dietary restrictions—feel free to reach out! I’d love to connect and support others in this journey.
