Chapter Meetings

Meetings of the Denver Chapter of the Celiac Support Association are held several times throughout the year, and meeting locations vary within the Denver Metro area to accommodate our members. Please see this year’s schedule below.

Networking

Whether you are new to our chapter or have been a member for a long time, Chapter Meetings provide opportunities to share ideas and experiences with other gluten-affected people in our community. Have you ever had to fend off a well-meaning relative who insists you “try just a bite” of homemade pie at Thanksgiving? Is your child constantly coming to you for answers as to why they can’t eat pizza at their best friend’s party? Having a gluten-related disorder can be a lonely road, but you don’t have to travel it alone!

Education

One of the keys to managing one’s health with Celiac Disease is by staying on top of the latest research on the disease. Chapter Meetings are an excellent way to learn about the most up-to-date developments in research from local, national and international experts on Celiac disease, and to get questions answered by leading researchers. The Denver Celiac Support Association has hosted Dr. Edwin Liu, Director, Colorado Center for Celiac Disease Disease at Children’s Hospital, Dr. Alessio Fasano, Director of the Center for Celiac Research at Massachusetts General Hospital, and Dr. Rodney Ford, Director of the Children’s Clinic and Allergy Centre in Christchurch, New Zealand, among others.

Chapter meetings provide invaluable resources to our members.
