Chapter Meetings
Objectives:
- Educate newly diagnosed individuals on living the gluten-free lifestyle (e.g, no wheat, barley, oats or rye).
- Promote awareness and education of gluten intolerance among the medical community.
- Communicate current research on celiac sprue and dermatitis herpetiformis.
- Partner with organizations to educate and encourage restaurants to offer gluten-free menu options.
Classes
Introduction to the GF Diet & Celiac Disease
Presented by Diane Moyer, M.S., R.D.
This 3 1/2 hour class offers a basic explanation of Celiac Disease and gluten intolerance, an introduction to the gluten-free diet, "safe" foods, "unsafe" foods, what to look for on food labels, how to stock your kitchen, eating out and more. Call 720-560-3734 for more information.
